I Did It!! I'm staying home!!!

Wow. I guess it's been awhile. Soooo much has happened so far this summer. First of all, I was called about a fifth grade teaching position available this Fall. I interviewed and searched area Day Cares...well...first I'll tell you that as far as teaching is concerned, I love the classroom and the children and I sometimes am confused about whether I'm meant to be in the classroom or whether God wants me to be with my own children and stay at home.
I decided to decline the position. After much prayer, this is what my husband and I decided was best for the family. I am at such peace. I am so thankful to God for being patient with me...
-----'Could it be that He is only waiting there to see, if I could learn to love the dreams that He has dreamed for me?' (song lyric from Twila Paris)
Thank you for opening my eyes Lord.

Well, my decision has a huge impact on all but our oldest child. (She is at Milwaukee School of Engineering starting this Fall). We can't continue to put ourselves into deeper debt by schooling the children at our Catholic schools. So we have decided that our son will still attend our Catholic H.S., our 12 yr. old, 7 yr. old, and 5 yr. old will he home educated this year and possibly through High School. I am excited at the thought of getting to know our beautiful children again. How sad that my life had become so busy that I lost sight of what was truly important.

I would home school our Freshman in H.S. but I must admit that I am a bit afraid of the thought. I will continue to read other blogs and research a bit and maybe next year, who knows! :)

Well, it's late and I've written far too much already. If any of you homeschool and would like to correspond, please do so. I've homeschooled my oldest for middle school before so it's not that I'm a newby...but...you know. Everyone starts out with questions.

Jesus, I trust in You!!

Mary
