I am a bit nervous! I have had my fourth graders over at the Church practicing for tomorrow's May Crowning-- twice today. I guess the reason for my nervousness is I have never been the class chosen to lead a May Crowning service.
Our awesome principal has been so kind to use the end of the day announcements to practice the songs over the loudspeakers throughout the entire school. The children are going to be singing:
On this Day, O Beautiful Mother
Bring Flowers of the Rarest
Immaculate Mary
They sing the songs beautifully.
I decided at the last practice this afternoon to let the children walk to the back of the Church and process down the aisle with the crown by themselves. I will be at the front of the Church waiting to assist with the flowers if I am needed. They seem so confident. :)
I will try to remember to take some pictures tomorrow and post them this weekend. We have a field trip on Friday so the posting will probably have to wait. I am taking the children hiking to see a Bald Eagle's nest and wading into water to net crayfish. Please send a few prayers for the weather to cooperate... we are supposed to have rain/thunderstorms and temperatures in the mid 40s. I suppose we could even have some snowflakes. Yikes!
"Blessed Mother Mary... Be our Mother too."
Peace to you and your families,
Mary
Jesus, I trust in You!
