Thankful for Thanksgiving

I have soooooo many things to be thankful for today!
My children experienced the love of their grandparents...I am so very thankful. Our youngest, Sophie, just wanted to have her grandma rock her in the recliner. She sat Sophie on her lap and Sophie spun around and grabbed her around the neck and laid her head on her shoulder. She took her grandmother by surprise and by the look of peace on her face, I don't think Grandma wanted to let go!
Thank you God!
There were no negative comments made...we did talk about their church, but nothing was said negative about our Catholic faith. The entire three days were full of peace and family love. I am so grateful. I am so thankful.

Challenges that come our way...

Challenges...
We, as the people of God and as a part of the Communion of Saints, face them everyday. We live our lives and sometimes the ground underneath our feet seems to be in a continual uphill climb. We take a step forward and before our next foot hits the ground it seems as though the slope has gotten steeper and steeper. The climb seems almost impossible to proceed and certainly difficult to conquer.

We look to God for our strength and courage. We pray that the right words will come at the right time and we believe that God will always be by our side...providing us with everything we need at the exact time that we need it.

We quiet ourselves and expectantly listen to our Lord as He speaks to our hearts. We pray...and continue to pray... with the joyful expectation of a young child. Fully trusting in our God to always provide what we need...even before we are aware of that need.

May you listen to God's whisper in your heart this day. May you allow Him to quiet your anxieties and fears and just let Him dwell within you. Give Him a home in your heart...teach your children about His love. That is your job as parents and grandparents...to show them Christ so that they, in turn, continue to do the work of Christ for generations to come. Don't be afraid to do this...it is the way Christ intended it to be!

My prayers are with you, dear reader. May you come to love our precious Lord with all that is within you.
